Thanksgiving Activities
I got rid of my Kid Ideas blog. I was having a hard time keeping up with it so I thought I would just post some ideas on here. I know this is a little late and I will try to get Christmas ideas on here sooner (for you Lindsey and Liz).
We are getting ready for Thanksgiving today. Jake and I made some Cookie Turkeys this morning out of Oreos. They turned out really cute. Use the Double Stuff Oreos. Then put candy corn in between the cookie to make the feathers. And pipe on eyes and a beak. These were really easy so that Jake could help. Picture can be seen on our flickr bar to the side.
Another fun thing to make that we did earlier in the month but I did not get a picture is Indian Tepees. Take a sugar ice cream cone and turn in upside down. Frost it with canned frosting. Then decorate it with candies. Jake could do this activity also. If you have older kids they can pipe on designs with the tube frosting.
I also got some fun things to do tomorrow to keep the kids busy. There are BINGO cards you can make. And a Turkey Stix game
I also have blacklines for Thanksgiving puppet masks, A Thanksgiving story for FHE, Tom the Terrible Turkey story, Finger puppets for the kids to color and play with, and a Mix and Match game if anybody wants them.
Enjoy your Thanksgiving!
