December Activities

I have had requests to get this up. I figured out how to email blacklines (no color- you will need to color your own) so then you can print them yourselves. Just let me know what you want. There are pictures to the left for you to get an idea of what they look like.

Christmas Around the World- Spotlights 11 different countries. The cards explain the country’s tradition and then gives an idea to do with your family. Display the card to help you remember that tradition. For example America talks about the lighting of our homes and buildings and the activity is to drive the neighborhood to see the lights.

24 Days of Christmas Story Book- You will need to come copy this yourself. It has a story, song, and scripture to read each night.

Christmas Countdown- I have lots of different ones. One is a Santa that you glue on a cotton ball for each day. Another is a scripture reading that you do by candle light and then by Christmas the candle has been all burned. Then I have about 4 different 12 Days of Christmas gifts that you can do for your family or a neighbor.

Nativity Story Puppets- These actually go to The Nativity Song out of the Children’s Songbook but we put craft sticks on them and play with them. The Little Pocket Nativity is finger puppets that I bought at Deseret Book. It is perfect to put in your church bag.

Nativity Match Game- Match a picture from the Nativity scene with its word. Then read what each person or thing means.

Nativity Bingo or Christmas Bingo cards

The stories that I have that we use for this month are Teach the Children the True Meaning of Christmas, The Animals’ Christmas Eve, Chris Mouse finds a House, and Santa Makes a Change.
