Christmas
We had a great Christmas. We were mostly on our own this year since my family celebrated early and Kurt’s family live out of state. Christmas Eve the boys opened new pajamas and we read some Christmas stories, watched The Nativity, and played games. Jake put out milk, cookies, and the magic key for Santa to get inside the house . Then it was off to bed so Santa could come.
Jake was so excited to get up and see what Santa brought in the morning. He got an easel with supplies and a Leapster game system and then stuff in his stocking. Josh got diapers, formula, and a toy from Santa. We then opened presents. It took a while because Jake wanted to play and try everything out. Josh ended up falling asleep for some of it. Thanks for all the gifts. We spent the rest of the day playing with all the new things. We got a lot of games to play together as a family and Jake is now always asking to play a game.
The day after Christmas we got up early (4:00 a.m.) and left for Las Vegas to visit my grandma. My parents and brother were already there. It was a long drive down because of all the snow that came on Christmas. We went 40 mph until just south of Cedar city and then could go the normal speed. It took forever and we were so tired when we got there that all we could do was eat, watch a movie, and go to bed early. My brother made fun of us. Saturday we had more energy and did some shopping at the outlets. Then we came home Sunday. It was a fast trip. It is fun to get away and nice to come home.
