Lake Mead Trip

Over the Pioneer Holiday weekend we went to Las Vegas and Lake Mead with my parents and brother. We left Thursday after work. Then we went out on Lake Mead for the next two days. The boys loved being on the boat and swimming in the water. Jake kept saying that Jeff was having too many turns wakeboarding and that he wanted to swim. Josh would kick himself off of the swim platform and into the water. Josh didn’t nap at all on the first day. But, the second day he crashed from having so much fun. I tried to water ski with Jake. We kept losing our balance and falling. We tried twice and then he was done. It was hard to do with him being so wiggly and he wouldn’t keep his feet down on the skis to stand up. He did like doing the tubes. He went once with with me, once with Uncle Jeff and once with Kurt. We tried to get him to go by himself but he didn’t want to. I skiied and Kurt did the wakeboard a few times. Kurt even got over the wake once! We were so tired when we got back to my grandma’s house after dinner that everyone went to bed. Josh had a hard time sleeping at night. He is teething and kept waking up. Sunday morning he woke up with a fever at 4:00. He and I just sat downstairs trying to cool off and get him to relax. Since he got up early he slept most if the time in the car driving home (with some help from Tylenol). The drive home was long. My dad started having car trouble just before Mesquite. It was a slow drive all the way home. Jake didn’t notice. He was too busy watching movies and playing his Leapster. We had a great trip!
