Jake’s First Day of Kindergarten

Jake went to school for the first time today. He was so excited to go. He goes to Midas Creek Elementary. He woke up this morning with a visit from the Backpack Fairy who brought him a new coloring activity, paints, shirt, and box of cereal. After eating that yummy cereal we took a few pictures, Kurt gave Jake a blessing, and then it was time to go. He acted a little nervous when we first got there. When it was time to go he turned and waved at us and then was off inside. I had to go to a PTA meeting and saw him about 2 hours later in the hall. He was busy talking to his teacher while she was telling him “No talking in the halls”. I think he will be a talker this year. After school he ran out and gave me a hug. He said that he loved going to school and told me all about his day. He was telling me about all the kids in his class and that Kindergarten is a piece of cake (He got a Hostess cake with this saying on it). We hope that he learns lots this year and does his very best to be successful. Pictures to the right.
