Salt Lake County Fair

We went to the Fair again this year. First we walked around the exhibits. Jake really liked the Lego displays. Maybe someday he will enter. Jake got to do a game where he was the Farmer For the Day. He picked an apple from the tree, got an egg from the hen, and found a potato under ground. He then got a ribbon and wore it the rest of the time. We walked around and saw all the animals that were entered. Jake had fun looking for the winners for each animal. Then we went and did the rides. Jake did a reading program to earn free ride tickets. I was so glad that we did this because it was $3 per ride. So he picked the motorcycles, boats, and cars for his three rides. Josh watched patiently and waved every time Jake went past. They had a petting zoo that we went to. Josh loved this. I wish we would have had the video camera. He laughed at all the animals as he walked up to them and then would touch them. We had to watch him because he would try and pull out their hair. He thought they were all so fun to see. I am glad there was something that he enjoyed. They had a camel that Jake waited forever to pet that he said was his favorite. Jake got to pick one game to play. He picked the ducks. He picked up a duck and then matched the number on the duck to a prize pile. He picked a trumpet from the pile. He was lucky because he saw a boy earlier that had a trumpet and that is what he wanted and got it! We then had snow cones. Jake picked Lemon Lime for us to share. Josh gets so jealous when there is food and was upset when Jake had the cup. The boys loved the fair.
