Jake’s first day of 1st grade

Jake has been so excited to go back to school. Some of his friends were already in school and he wanted to be with them. We went to meet his teacher on Monday. Mrs. Miller was super nice and as we were walking out Jake commented on how nice she was and that this was going to be a great year. He knows a few kids in his class but I know that soon his whole class will love him. He is so friendly. He already told me that he made some new friends that he played with at recess.
Today was his first day. He woke up to find that the Backpack Fairy had visited bring Cookie Crisp cereal, some paints to do while off track, and some treats for his lunch. At school he found his line and waited for Mrs. Miller to come out. When I picked him up he said that he had a great day and can’t wait to go back tomorrow. His favorite part was getting to eat lunch at school. I was worried that he wouldn’t eat what was packed for him but he did a pretty good job eating most of it. It is going to be a great year for him.
