Trampoline

Jake has wanted a trampoline for a while now. When he got some money for his birthday he was convinced that we were going to get one. We had to talk Kurt into it for the next three weeks. He finally gave in and we went and got one. The boys love being outside jumping on it and already learning all kinds of fun tricks to do. I think it is wonderful because it is good exercise and gets some energy out of them.

10th Anniversary Cruise

Kurt and I celebrated our 10th Anniversary this year. We decided that we needed to go on a trip to celebrate. We had to wait a month until grandma got out of school so she could watch the boys. We went on a 3 day cruise to Ensenda, Mexico. We had so much fun and it was the perfect length to be away. We spent one day in Ensenada where we booked a tour to go to La Bufadora, which is one of three blow holes. It was really cool to see. The rest of the time was spent on the ship sitting in the sun, going to the shows, eating lots of yummy food, lots of people watching, and just relaxing. I even won a bag and a 2 free coffees which we talked the girl into giving us milkshakes instead. We had a great time!

Jake 1st Grade Dance Performance

Jake had his dance performance that Josh and I attended. Apparently Jake can not skip. I know what we will be working on this summer. You can find him in the video really easy. He is the one in the green shirt holding up the line. The dance teacher came up to me after and said don’t worry skipping is hard for boys. I just laughed. Jake has some coordination problems. But he makes up for them in the funny things he says. He kept asking Josh and me if we saw him. At first you can see him looking all over for us then when he found us he got the biggest smile on his face and kept waving at us. It was cute and he was so proud of himself!

Jake’s 7th Birthday

Jake has turned another year older. We celebrated his birthday all weekend long. His whole birthday celebration was about Angry Birds, a video game. He first had his friend party. He invited 3 of his closest buddies over for a late night. I made them all a set of Angry Birds with a sling shot to set up their own game. The birds turned out really cute and the boys played with them longer than I thought they would. We had pizza and Angry Birds cupcakes, watched a movie, and the boys just played. Jake was so excited to have a late night party.
Saturday was his real birthday. We had family over in the evening to celebrate. He had both sets of grandparents, Uncle Jeff, and great grandma Carol. He got to open his presents with everyone together. Josh gave him some Angry Bird plush toys. We gave him golf clubs and balls. Grandma and Grandpa gave him money that we haven’t decided what to spend on yet. Grandma and Grandpa D. gave him the Harry Potter book set that we have already started reading together. I had made him an Angry Bird cake that was set up like the game. He loved it!

Goldilocks Bike Ride

A few months ago I talked to my friend about signing up to do the Goldilocks Bike Ride. We decided to do the 40 mile ride. It was so fun. The time went by really fast. The shirts and water bottle are so cute that they gave us. The weather was really nice. The stops were great to rest and snack. The course wasn’t too bad. There were a few hills I wasn’t sure were ever going to end and there were a few parts that were really close to the cars. But overall I enjoyed it so much. And for finishing they gave us a cute necklace I wasn’t sure if I would be able to go the whole way since the most I had practiced was 20 miles. But with the stops and having a friend I made it to the end. My boys came to two of the stops and the finish line to cheer me on. A few days later my legs are fine, my bottom hurts a little bit to sit on, and my arms got a little bit of sun. I am so excited to sign up for next year. Anyone want to join me?
